To me, the interesting thing about Tempel-Tuttle and the accompanying Leonids is their frequency, quoted variously as 33 years  or 32.9 years.
This gives 3 x 33 per 100 years. It is also the frequency on average of the generations of man, certainly since Jesus Christ of year 0.
Thus, it is a counter of generations IN THIS 2000 YEARS. The Bible was the generation counter up to Jesus........60 generations as written down.
My father, my sons and I span 100 years, AS DO OTHER FAMILIES, YOUR FAMILY TOO, please check it.

Interesting facts, Claudius I Emperor of Rome, 1 ad, Caractacus in chains, later Linus 1st Bishop of Rome 66 ad,  all of them 60 generations from us today.                  60 generations have lived since then, to today. Easily confirmed from king lists etc., I use an old copy of Blair's Chronology, updated by Henry Ellis of the British Museum..
Comet Tempel-Tuttle is the generation counter since Jesus, another 60 generations. Total to date 120 generations of man. This last 2000 years , 60 x33 = 1960 years. 4 x 490 years. The last generation will see 2000 years come in. My sons, if not me.
These are facts we can see, I have not plucked a figure out of the air, say 350,000,000 years, or even 10,000 years.
The 120 generations cover 6000 years, so do 120 Jubilees of 50 years each.
Anyone taking issue with this information, please provide something superior.
Be aware that scientists checking moon dust depth, fossil earthquake cracks, alluvial mud fans at river mouths, salt in the sea, and so on, cannot extend them beyond 6000 years from today. TV programmes now show us great earthquakes and volcanic events taking place today and then say that these have been going on for millions of years. It never seems to occur to them that what they propose would be physically impossible. It is now being found that even the Himalayas are quite new geologically, may we say 2000 to 3000 years old?
Thera exploded only 1450 bc etc.,
Some genetic scientists have proved that genes go back to the original mother Eve, 6000 years ago, and now Adam similarly too, 6000 years. Attempts are being made to discredit this information. I wonder why?
    Could it be that Tempel-Tuttle is the missing Star of Bethlehem? This is only speculation of course.
Are any Astronomers able to calculate if it would have showed to the West of Jerusalem in year '0' around September time?
Assuming that it was around then, could it have filled the bill?
